A pastry shop on the street that leads to the square
Karlobag is a small coastal village at the foot of Velebit, facing the island of Pag. It fills up in summer; for the rest of the year a few hundred people live there.
Slastičarna Plavi 9 stands on Ulica Ivana Vrbana, a narrow street one row of houses back from the seafront, running up towards the main square. It is not on the promenade and it does not look out over the sea. It is a shop on a street, not a terrace with a view.

The village sits between the water and the mountain. That sets both the season and the rhythm of the day.
A day that runs for seventeen hours
The door opens at 7 in the morning and closes at midnight, every day. In the morning it is a place for coffee and burek, in the afternoon for ice cream, and in the evening for a cup or a slice of cake after a walk.
There is table service, and there is a terrace. How many tables are outside and until when depends on the day, so this page does not claim a number.
